Welcome to the Family Closet!

The Family Closet serves Wisconsin families with current foster placements, and adoptive, kinship and guardianship families who have financial needs because of their placements. The Family Closet is Chosen’s primary resource to these families with tangible goods needed for their children.

Generous community donations provide foster and adoptive families to shop, free of charge, for gently used clothing/shoes (newborn-teen) and other new items including: baby items (diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, etc), toys, baby/special needs adaptive equipment and more! This program serves Southeastern Wisconsin families with two locations in Waukesha and West Allis.

All family shopping visits are by appointment. See below for specifics on family appointments.

Getting Started at The family Closet

New to Chosen? Foster, adoptive, and kinship parents and guardians can complete our online electronic intake form. You will be contacted shortly after for your first appointment.

Are you a Case Manager? Complete or have thee family complete our electronic intake form.

How do Donations work?

We accept donations of gently used clothing/shoes for newborns through teens. Click here for more information and specific donation hours.

Other items such as toys, school supplies, baby items, socks, underwear and toiletries are stocked at The Family Closet and must be new. Our Amazon page is an easy way to make a valuable donation of the most needed items for The Family Closet.
