What is the Mobile Family Closet?
The Mobile Family Closet brings free, essential resources directly to foster, adoptive, and kinship families across southeastern Wisconsin. Building on the success of our Waukesha Family Closet, this fully funded program launching in May, 2026 will serve families in underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
By eliminating barriers like transportation and time constraints, the Mobile Family Closet ensures foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families can easily access the essential support they need right where they are.
Families receive free, essential items, including:
Clothing and shoes
Baby care items and equipment
Toys, backpacks, and school supplies
Toiletries
Special needs adaptive equipment
The Mobile Family Closet offers meaningful financial relief, strengthens families, and builds community by helping caregivers provide safe, stable, and loving homes for children in need.
