Many volunteer opportunities available!

Chosen’s mission to Foster Forever Families, by living the Gospel, so that all children can have a safe and loving home wouldn’t be possible without the many hands and feet of our volunteers that support our work!

Family Closet Opportunities

Sorting Team

·         3 hours/week at Waukesha or West Allis. Typically During donation hours- Thursdays 10am-1:00pm

·         Sort incoming clothing donations.

·         Organize sorted items into storage bins.

Inventory Team

·         3 hours/month at Waukesha or West Allis.

·         Update inventory levels by tracking our needs. (Monday or Thursday AM likely)

Seasonal Inventory Change

·         3-5 hours twice/year at Waukesha or West Allis

·         Pull seasonal clothing, sort and return to off-season storage.

·         Pull current seasonal items and replace to bins/hanging racks.


Committee Opportunities

Fundraising Committee

  • 5-10 Hours /month.

  • Monthly planning meetings (Zoom available)

  • Plan and execute fundraising events.

    Sub-committee positions are also available to help with one of our major fundraising events (Gala or 2025 Golf Tournament).

Programming Committee

  • 5-10 hours/month.

  • Monthly planning meeting (Zoom available).

  • Plan and execute community events (VBS, Toypalooza, Winter Wiggles, Walk on the Wild Side, etc.).

MarkEting Committee

  • 3-5 hours/month.

  • Monthly Zoom meetings.

  • Plan brand awareness strategies.

  • Engage in Networking activities.

  • Work with the Fundraising Committee and Boards to engage more donors.


Event Volunteer Opportunities

Vacation Bible School

  • 20+ volunteers

  • Set-up volunteers

  • Volunteers for full-day session and family event/closing (leaders, assistants, registration, back-pack distribution, event help)

Walk on the Wild Side

  • Approx. 15 volunteers 

  • Set up/registration

  • Sponsor support, merchandise table, door guides (pointing guests to our picnic area)

  • Clean-up

Toypalooza

  • Approx. 10 volunteers

  • Transport of winter gear to the venue

  • Registration

  • Family activities/support

  • Clean-up


Other Graphic Opportunities

Newsletter Team

  • 2 Volunteers

  • Gathering materials for and producing a quarterly newsletter to send to print.

  • Needs access and familiarity with Adobe or Canva.

Website team

  • 1-2 volunteers

  • Update the website regularly, adding new information and editing out expired activities.
